Its history dates back to the period of the establishment of the institution, in 2008, when the first testimonies from former political prisoners and the first surveys on the memory places of the dictatorship were collected.
With the goal of constantly improving the management and dissemination of the collection, the Center creates partnerships with institutions, researchers, and collectives, produces articles and publications, assists in the development of internal exhibitions, and promotes lectures, seminars and courses that contribute to the dissemination of issues concerning Human Rights, Political Memory, and History.
